Bengaluru car driver kills motorbike pillion rider while attempting to navigate potholes

A car driver in Yelahanka lost control while navigating potholes and ended up causing the death of a motorbike pillion rider, say local cops.

Harshad Shah, the pillion rider, sustained grievous head injuries leading to his death while the driver of the bike, Rahul, too suffered serious injuries and is undergoing treatment.

The driver of the car was attempting to maneuver potholes in the Attur Main Road when the vehicle got out of hand and killed Shah, according to the police. The driver fled the scene after the accident on Saturday night.

Yelahanka traffic police have registered a case against the car driver as well as BBMP engineers on a complaint by their friend Sreeraj Sreedharan.

Sreedharan has held the BBMP engineers responsible for the potholes, which led to the accident.

Congress general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala slammed the BJP government in the state for the death.
