Wall Street opens higher as voting in midterm election begins


U.S. stock indexes opened greater on Tuesday as voting started within the essential midterm election that can decide management of Congress, with traders hoping for a political gridlock that would forestall radical coverage modifications.

The Dow Jones Industrial Common rose 107.56 factors, or 0.33%, on the open to 32,934.56.

The S&P 500 opened greater by 10.22 factors, or 0.27%, at 3,817.02, whereas the Nasdaq Composite gained 47.01 factors, or 0.44%, to 10,611.53 on the opening bell.
